Pescara, the vibrant capital of Abruzzo, seduces with its lively coastline and love of good food. While arrosticini, pasta alla chitarra and pecorino are pillars of its gastronomy, a new player is taking root: craft beer. Two local microbreweries illustrate this rise. One, near Pescara, is known for complex beers including a round and generous strong ale. The other stands out for its elegance and balance, with a creamy stout of cocoa and coffee aromas that pairs beautifully with regional desserts.
